Hi guys

I’m updated the charter boats section and a few of the Irish boats have me and Google maps baffled

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the following ports -

Blue Thunder John & Dennis Tyman Glendore Ireland 00 353 28 33510

I also have and Excel spreadsheet with about 150 entries that need the Irish counties added to them if there’s any willing volunteers out there!!

Well crap shifts stopped me getting out with friends(wifes plans didnt help either, so i headed up to fish the Sock sunday.

Quick winge first, you messy barstewards who half bagged their rubbish then must have changed there tiny minds!
Squid and baitbox wrappers galore, and a ketchup bottle, just to the east edge of the sock itself. Its gone now! Tw*ts!

Well I got there and set up as darkness fell.

It was bloody cold but I was prepared and was well wrapped up and had the pressure lamp to give a bit of heat.

Nowt much happened till after dark, about an hour before high water when I had a nice run that didnt want to slow down, well it did when I engaged the gears!
1st spur about 5lb, nice plump fish.

That was it for 2 hours! then i had a dog, sorry no pic, a dogs a dog.

Then as the tide fell I started to get a few nibbles. One nice run ended in me behaving like a novice and not setting the hook only to wind like an idiot to catch up with a fish that ran at me! Yep all the way to the headlight beam where it opened wide and gave me my hook back

Next cast I must have landed on the fishes swede, tried to set the tip and ratchet for the ratchet never to stop, best fish of the night about 7lb(ish) very heavy in pup, so didnt mess about(no tagging kit) released at waterside and carefully sent on her way.

Ended up with 5 spurs(4 females and 1 male about 3lb) and two dogs.

Very pleasant to get out. cant wait for the next trip.
