went to dunbar with the boy blunder on saturday, because he’s a dirty stopout we were late getting there and the tide was complety out leaving a bit of a dilemma with the boat about 4 feet above the water.

we backed to the end of the concrete and pushed it back on the trailer until it reached the tipping point and i held onto the lazy line like a madman….lol

worked out in the end….

found a few codling and pollack feeding on a bit of ground i’ve not fished for a while, cod to 5lb 10oz on BLUEY…..

we had about 15 codling, the average size was probably 3-3.5lb and i had 7 pollack (liam couldnae catch one) with 2 over 4lb and the others over 3lb

nice day out and cod for tea on sunday…

guy,

stevie knows my fetish for shads very well, i get enough abuse about it… long face

when we went to iceland last year i got the most double figured cod by using muckle big shads on a leadhead, big 9-12” jobs, nothing under 8lb could get them in their gobs, and the ironic thing is i swiped them out stevies tackle box when he wasn’t looking… tongue rolleye

Good trip Les,  I’m having a run out from Torness on Sunday to see what it’s like. Hope you left some for us. I might even have a go with some of those rubber jobs you were using for the Pollock.

hi wullie..

i love my trooper, best boat i’ve ever had, fast and stable and you don’t have to name it flipper or shamu because of the porpoising tongue wink

was out in a very snotty loch sunart on friday, big short sea, just set the throttle at 12mph, pointed the boat in the right direction and closed my eyes, very nasty.. angry
