Despite the bad weather I think it is the only time this summer we have managed to launch twice in a week. One session we had a go at the bass but they failed to make much of an appearance so we wont be trying that again in a hurry :scared:

On a more positive note we also had a try for the cod this week and when we could get through the mackerel we were quite successful with about 15 cod to 4 pounds between myself and Mike. It did feel rather nice to get some cod aboard especially a couple of better ones at around 4 pounds each which made the session so much more enjoyable after several recent cod fishing attempts had ended in a blank. What was the difference ? I think quite possibly the smaller tide, clearer waters and less wind slowing down the drift had worked in our favour.

All in all an enjoyable week and a big thanks to Mike who has ferried me around all week whilst Ive been waiting for the insurance and roof bars to turn up for my new car.

Some pics from the week.
