What’s the best way to keep rag alive when you are going away for a weekend?
Would i need to keep them in seawater or keep them in newspaper?

Newspaper will suffice if it’s just for the weekend as long as you keep them in a coolbox. Make sure that they’re not directly against any of the icepacks.

Aye that would be fine, just check for dead ones regularly. If fishing for lythe I’d wrap them individually in rolls before heading fishing as this firms them up brings out the redcolour.

Hi Fisher. We normally keep our Raggies fresh and active in sea water,in trays or containers in a large coolbox with ice packs.

Then change water and clean worms before using, and no problems catching our Pollack & Wrasse, hope this helps you sort out

your predicament without too much fuss.

Hi Steve.

Just read the report on Rag Worm, and found it to be an excellent piece

for Fisher’s question. I find that a little care and attention will give your

Raggies a fighting chance of catching you decent fish, a spare fridge in

the shed or garage is the ideal storage for your worms. Tight Lines

everyone.
