just a quick update on how the boat fishing on the mersey is progressing .
The general fishing has been exellent with plenty of big whiting some touching the 2lb mark , loads of dabs , there have been plenty of thornback rays, strap conger have also shown on different marks , but the main contender the cod are just starting to show themselves i have seen fish to 10lb from the charter boats.
I am sure that after this big set of tides that a lot more cod will show themselves.
