Steve, I think that to finish that article off you should provide us with precise details of where you dig them.  wink

Interesting about the white rag - i must admit to not liking them much because it is so easy here (norway) to dig lugworm, as no one uses them here lug or rag - seperate containers.
In future i will retain and use them.
Ive often thought about selling lug as bait as i dig around 1 per minute, but i guess no one other than Germans who read books and take exams on fishing would buy.
Stray thought - if i could ship them to the uk——-

Take 10 white rag put them in some cold water. leave them for all to see all day then take them home.
fish with your regular baits, take them home and repeat. when you win a comp half the country will drive around the country looking for the 10 whites in your fridge.

There is no super bait. research your venue, perfect your traces, perfect your techniques. ask yourself questions like

1. are really sure you can fish 2 flounder bait at 100 yards as you do at 10yards

2. can you read a perfectly flat beach.

3. can you read waves and what do they tell you.

these are just examples. perfect the bait and techniquies you have them look for the edge that might work once a year.

sorry a little off topic
