Seaview Angling Shop Review

by David Proudfoot

I recent had a wee tour of the south coast of England, a spot of boat fishing and a chance to meet up with site contributor Frankie Costello. After a meet with Frankie he suggested that we pop into the newly relocated Seaview Angling shop.  I have to say that I was impressed; this store is a lure angler’s paradise.

Andy and Pam have done a great job in laying out easily accessible shelves and display racks, Andy’s own handy work, which displays soft and hard plastics, metal lures and all manner of terminal tackle in an organised manner. In addition to the tempting host of lures the shop caters for the bait anglers both with a broad range of terminal tackle and with fresh and frozen baits.

While you are in the shop you can try out the excellent fishing simulator where you can fight several species of fish including bream and bass and try out one of the selection of rods before purchase.

Pam also makes a good cup of coffee and there is a welcoming atmosphere in the shop with everyone willing to chat and pass the time without applying sales pressure, although no one will be able to resist digging into their wallet to splash out on new tackle.

George Cunningham of Tronix Fishing is teaming up with the proprietors to hold an Open Weekend on 23rd and 24th where customers can meet and chat to the Tronix team and tap into their expertise and that of visiting England Internationals.

You can find the shop at 46 Faraday Mill, Plymouth PL4 0SE and it open from 07:30 hrs seven days a week.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words so in addition to our photos in the gallery you can take a virtual 3D walk through inside the shop.
