Young Troy Gets His Fish

Blackpool Boat Angling Club fished their cod match last Sunday. A great day waj7s had by all and although the fishing wasn’t up to much 18 boats turned out. Special thanks to Jordan Russell at Bispham Angling for his support and all of the lads who helped out with the tractor driving, parking, time keeping and refreshments and to David Jobling for pulling it all together. Hope to see you all again in January for our Open RLNI Cod match.

Vincent Peake headed out with young Troy for his second fishing lesson on the top at Achorsholme. Troy was set up with a lightweight bass rod and bait runner with a day glow rig and tipped with mackerel. The youngster’s face says it all, he kissed it and Vincent took it down the steps to swim off. Troy had a round of applause from some passing walkers.
